Research Abstract

本領域研究では、均一系および不均一系触媒化学の協奏的融合による新たな協奏機能触媒化学を確立することに重点を置いている。そのため、金属錯体を基本とする分子性触媒の研究者と分子・原子レベルで固体表面修飾や機能付与との相関、固体担体と触媒活性中心の解明を行っている固体触媒研究者に加えて、金属集積と協同機能を開拓する多金属触媒の研究者および生体触媒機能を人工触媒機能へ転写して実用触媒の開発をめざす生体模倣の触媒研究者を中心に研究推進してきている。二年目の本年度は、19名の計画班員に加えて、新たに参画した64名の公募班員が、A01「分子機能触媒化学」(27名)、A02「多金属機能触媒化学」(17名)、A03「固体機能触媒化学」(24名)、A04「生体模倣機能触媒化学」(15名)の研究項目を分担し、相互連携をとりつつ研究推進してきた。さらにより効果的な連携をとるため研究者は副分野制をとり積極的な共同交流を推進してきた。結果として、第2回公開シンポジウムを6月に第3回を12月に2回開催して本領域研究の命題と各計画研究の内容や狙いとともに最先端の研究成果を広く公開できた。またA04班の研究者を中心に生体触媒を範とする新たな触媒開発を目指すための、バイオインスパイアードフロンティア会議を2回開催して共同して共通課題の解決に向けた取り組みを軌道に乗せた。さらに脇奏機能触媒の概念をより広く広めるため、既存の日本化学会、触媒学会や錯体化学討論会に協奏機能触媒のセッションを設定して、広く他分野の研究者との討論を積極的に実施した。また、国際会議を1回開催して,協奏機能触媒に関して海外の研究者との意見交換や討論を実施した。さらに総括班主導で全研究員に共同研究課題の応募を行い、積極的な共同研究の実施を奨励したところ、8件の共同研究が組織化され、着実に成果があがってきている。
