Research Abstract

本研究は、本申請者らが開発に成功した時々刻々の構造・元素情報を提供することができる時間分解X線吸収微細構造 (XAFS)測定システムを利用して、活性構造・状態変化と触媒機能とのリアルタイム応答を解析することによって得られる動的構造情報を触媒調製にフィードバックして、併せて新規触媒調製法を開拓することにより、選択酸化、燃料電池用H_2存在下でのCO選択酸化、及び燃料電池酸素極酸化反応のための実用レベル酸化触媒の開発を推進することを最終目的とする。本研究で取り上げた選択酸化及び燃料電池酸化触媒系は活性構造の解明と失活因子の究明が最重要課題となっており、またこれらはいずれもエネルギー及び環境問題に関連し社会的に解決が望まれている重要課題である。
