Research Abstract

シナプス分子動態の最先端顕微鏡技術による解析を、遺伝子改変動物の作成などの研究手法と融合することで、組織レベルでの神経回路の機能変化とシナプスでの分子集積の間の関連を明らかにする事を目的として研究を行い、シナプスに集積する分子がそれぞれの分子種特異的な動態を持つこと、カルシウムにより制御されるリン酸化酵素CaMKIIαの活性化が神経回路の機能的変化に必須であることを見出した。
