Research Abstract

本研究では、電子とテラヘルツ電磁波との相互作用の詳細な検討から、バルク半導体や半導体超格子構造中の電子の特異な伝導ダイナミクスとそれがもたらす利得スペクトルを明らかにした。さらに利得を応用したテラヘルツ発振器の実現に向けたテラヘルツ共振器構造の試作と評価を行った。また、光の回折限界を大きく超えて、テラヘルツ電磁波で単一の量子ドットや分子の伝導ダイナミクスを測定するためのナノギャップ電極試料構造を作製し、ナノ領域特有の新規な伝導特性を見いだした。
