Research Abstract |
The efficacy of cancer chemotherapy in brain tumors is substantially limited by cellular mechanisms where the blood-bran-barrier limits drug penetration into the brain. ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters, e.g., ABCB1 and ABCG2, play pivotal roles. In this research project, we have developed high-speed screening and quantitative structure-activity-relationship (QSAR) analysis methods to design anticancer drug molecules that efficiently target brain tumors.
