Research Abstract

本研究は、副作用が少ない新しい抗がん剤シ-ズの創製を目的に、最新の分子生物学的知見に基づいたスクリ-ニング法を用いて、がん細胞特異的な因子に選択的に作用する活性天然物を、薬用植物の抽出エキス、海綿類を中心とする海洋生物の抽出エキスや海洋由来微生物の培養物ライブラリ-から探索する。発見した活性物質の抗腫瘍作用をin vitroおよびin vivoモデル系で評価し、有望な微量活性物質については、全合成による供給を検討する。また、モデル化合物合成による構造活性相関の解析、より簡便に合成できる活性類縁体の合成等の合成化学的な検討を加え、新たな分子標的抗がん剤としての展開を図る。さらに、得られた活性物質を用いるケミカルバイオロジ-研究により、その標的分子を明らかにし、制がんに関わる新規薬剤タ-ゲットの開拓を目指す。
