| Research Abstract |
ホスホリパーゼA_2(PLA_2)はグリセロリン脂質の2位のアシル鎖を加水分解し、脂肪酸とリゾリン脂質を産生する酵素である。本研究では、多数存在するPLA_2のアイソザイムのうち、生体機能が不明瞭であるIII, V, X型sPLA_2、iPLA_2γについて、各酵素の遺伝子改変マウスを用い解析し、各酵素が酵素特異的に、精子の受精能、神経突起の伸展、筋肉の維持、脂肪細胞分化といった生理現象のみならず、肥満・脂肪肝の発症やアレルギー反応の進行といった病態に深く関わることを明らかにした。
