Research Abstract

生体内で自己組織を再生させるというin situ Tissue Engineeringの手法を用いて、臨床応用可能で安全な人工気管の開発を行った。気道を支える軟骨に相応する部分は非吸収性のポリプロピレンステントを用いた自己組織再生型の人工気管を改良し、これをビーグル犬で効能と安全性を評価することにより、性能の向上に直結する技術革新につながった。
