Research Abstract |
Monitoring system of limnological data on physical and chemical characteristics of lake water was established to understand the long-term change of Antarctic lake environment. Biodiversity on many groups of bacteria, cyanobacteria, algae, mosses were almost totally clarified. Sediment analysis on several lakes will provide valuable data set to reconstruct the paleo-environment in Antarctica.
