| Research Abstract |
機能炭素ユニットであるフラーレンを材料として有効利用するため、ごく微細レベルで自由に成型加工しうる技術の開発を行った。フラーレンに炭化水素鎖を導入した化合物を各種有機溶媒中で、ワイア、球状、フラワー状等の構造へと組み上げることに成功した。フラワー状構造体を基板上に塗布することにより、超撥水性の表面を得た。また、純粋フラーレン物質を様々な液体間の界面でひし形や六角形のナノシートに成型できること、それらの一部は水を加えることによってナノロッドに変形できることも見出した。
