Research Abstract	(1)岩手県東磐井郡を主な研究対象として、中近世移行期の鉱山開発が、列島レベルはもちろん、鉱山を抱える村、それをとりまく周辺の地域社会において、鉱山開発がどのような社会的影響を与えたかを検討している。特に、開発・運営における出資者の実態、労働者の確保と移動、労働者にとっての鉱山の位置づけ、村にとっての鉱山の意義、鉱山と地域社会の関係性、に注目して考察を加えている。 (2)具体的作業としては、関連史料(鈴木家文書・畠山家文書・及川家文書等)を中心に、史料の整理、目録作成、翻刻作業を進め、聞き取り調査の成果とあわせて、実態分析を進める。
