Research Abstract |
1) Tailored program of institutional environmental improvement into unit care were applied to nursing homes for the elderly people with dementia. Pre and post improvement were examined with the scalp far the purpose of grasping satisfaction for institutional environment. 2) follow-up study for six nursing homes in Tokyo area and five nursing homes in Kansai area were done. Important factors to continue environmental improvement programs in dementia care were clarified.. 3) Important factors to prevail institutional environmental improvement program into many facilities were, (1) support tools, (2) training program for staffs, (3) consultation by expert. 4) As support tools, web-site and hand books for institutional environmental improvement program were made.
