Research Abstract

本研究においては,地殻浅部-深部までの地震断層の破壊メカニズムを解明するため, (1)地震断層の実体を明らかにする断層の構造地質学的・地震物質科学的研究, (2) 断層摩擦溶融プロセスと変形機構を実験室で再現し, 地震断層の変形メカニズムを明らかにする研究, (3) それらの性質に基づいて大地震時の断層の挙動を理論的またはシミュレーションによって解析する研究を融合させて行う
