Research Abstract

本研究は、次世代の大型宇宙ロケットシステムとして期待されている推力可変のプラズマ推進システムを開発するため、高速プラズマ流中のイオンを高周波により加熱し、加熱されて得た熱エネルギーを、磁気ノズルを用いて推進エネルギーへと変換する手法を開発するものである。本研究によりその原理検証に世界で初めて成功し、プラズマ密度や高周波の周波数特性、磁気ノズル形状や推進剤に対する依存性など、実機設計に必要な重要な知見を得ることが出来た。
