Research Abstract |
In this research, the following four sub-systems had been developed. 1. Sub-system A: Basic Style Construction System A-1 : System to construct 3D basic style based on images(natural language) This system can automatically constr 3D basic style by expressing concept or image of a product with natural language (Kansei language). A-2 : System to construct 3D basic style based on sketch This system can automatically constr 3D basic style by drawing rough sketches of a product shape. 2. Sub-system B : Detail Style Construction System B-1 : System to construct 3D detail style based on characteristic lines This system enables designers to construct detail farms of a product by automatically constructing various characteristic lines with mouse operations/tablet operations for a 3D basic style form constructed by the sub-system A. B-2 : System to construct 3D detail style using mixed reality technology This system enables designers to evaluate detail forms of a product with seeing and touching a physical object covered with virtual objects (designed digital model) by mixed reality technology. 3. Sub-system C : Fairing System Based on Highlight Lines This system enables designers to automatically fair and re-construct the form of a product by indicating the required highlight lines by mouse operations/tablet operations. 4. Sub-system D : System to Evaluate and Re-construct a Form Based on Curvature and Curvature Change Rate This system enables designers to evaluate and re-construct a form based on scientific standpoints (curvature and curvature change rate) for the curves and surfaces constructed by the sub-systems A, B, and C.
