Research Abstract

強磁性形状記憶合金Fe3Ptは、そのFCTマルテンサイト状態においてバリアント再配列にともなう可逆的な巨大磁場誘起歪を示すことを申請者らは見出した。本研究では、Fe3Ptにおいて可逆的な磁場によるバリアント再配列が可能となる理由を調査した。その結果、磁場下において結晶磁気異方性による磁気的なせん断応力が発生し、その値が双晶変形に必要な応力より大きくなることによりバリアント再配列が実現することを確認した。また、双晶変形応力の小さなFCTマルテンサイトがFe3Ptにおいて出現するのは、Fe3Ptがバンドヤーンテラー効果を示すためであることを見出した
