Research Abstract

土壌細菌アグロバクテリウムのサイトカイニン(CK)合成酵素Tmrは、トランジットペプチド領域を持たないにもかかわらず、宿主植物色素体内に局在し高活性のCK(ゼアチン)を合成する。本研究ではTmrタンパク質の色素体内への移行に関わる機構を部分的に明らかにした。またTmrのイソ酵素であるTzsタンパク質の結晶構造を決定し、Tmrの色素体移行に必要な領域の絞り込みに成功した。さらに色素体内でゼアチンを合成することの生物学的な重要性を明らかにした。
