| Research Abstract |
病原体の感染に対する植物の防御応答において、細胞死を伴った一連の抵抗反応が誘導される。活性酸素と一酸化窒素(NO)は抵抗反応の誘導・増幅シグナルとして機能していると考えられ、植物体内でのそれらの生成系の解析を行った。また、スーパーオキシド(O2-)とNOとの反応物であるパーオキシナイトライト(ONOO-)が細胞死を誘導し、植物の基礎抵抗性に関与している可能性を示した。さらに細胞死を誘導するセラミド関連化合物を特定し、抵抗反応誘導機構の解明における有用性を示唆した。
