| Research Abstract |
ニホンジカによる樹木剥皮と林床植生の採食が激しい大台ヶ原と奈良公園において、シカをめぐる生物間相互作用を明らかにした。大台ヶ原では、シカの採食はササの小型化をもたらすが、それは接触刺激によることが示唆された。またゴールを形成するタマバエの間接効果を明らかにした。奈良公園では、防御形質と考えられるイラクサ刺毛密度の進化にシカの被食が淘汰圧として作用していることが示唆された。
