Research Abstract

ウロコのコラーゲンを用いて再生医療用人工基質の合成をめざして、生物学と材料科学の両面から研究を推進した。生物学的アプローチにより鱗形成細胞分化の分子機構、コラーゲン配向を制御する候補分子、組織ごとのコラーゲンα鎖組成を明らかにした。また、材料科学的アプローチにより、ブタ及びティラピアコラーゲン線維配向ゲルを高磁場内で実現するとともに、湿潤環境下による乾燥により10~20wt%の高密度化に成功した。
