| Research Abstract |
細胞分裂時における染色体の挙動と構造変化は、遺伝情報(DNA)の運搬と分配を考える上できわめて重要である.そこで、本研究では、染色体の形成(凝縮)、分配(染色分体形成)、消失(脱凝縮)のメカニズムを、染色体の構造的側面から解析した.その結果、染色体は分裂後期まで凝縮を続けること、中期染色体には凝縮度の部位差があること、この部位差が、染色体タンパク質の局在と関連していること、また分裂期前のDNA合成のタイミングとも関連していることが明らかになった.
