| Research Abstract |
癌患者に抗癌剤を投与すると経過中にその効果が減弱することがある。この薬剤耐性にはさまざまな機序が関与しており、いかに耐性を克服するかが治療戦略を考える上で重要な鍵となる。我々は寿命に関連する転写因子であるFOXO3A に注目し、その分子を細胞の核内に強制的に発現させることで抗癌剤に耐性を獲得した細胞をも死滅させることを明らかにした。このことはFOXO3A を核内に発現できる薬剤こそが万能な抗癌剤となりうることを示唆している。
