| Research Abstract |
本研究は、無症候性頸動脈狭窄症に対する全国多施設・前向き登録、調査研究を行い、診療実態、治療成績の集積・分析より本邦における実態を明らかにし、あわせて本邦独自の治療ガイドラインの作成を目指すものである。研究期間中にほぼ目標症例数の登録を完了し、現在最終の分析結果を集約中である。これまでの結果では、本疾患に対する外科治療の脳卒中予防効果の重要性、内科治療を合わせた治療選択の難しさ等が明らかとなっている。最終結果を速やかにまとめ、論文発表の形で成果発表の予定である。
