Research Abstract

Rett症候群モデルの雄マウスでは、死亡する約2週前より体重が減少に転じ、摂食量の急激な低下が生じること、またヘテロ欠損雌マウス(Mecp2+/-)を30週以上通常の餌で飼育すると、約80%が過食による著しい肥満を呈することが明らかになった。肥満を呈したMecp2+/-では、延髄においてチロシン水酸化酵素の著明な減少がみられ、視床下部ではメラニン凝集ホルモンとその受容体の上昇が認められた。Mecp2+/-の肥満にはこれら中枢の変化が関わっている可能性が示唆された
