Research Abstract

東南アジアに設置されたGPS連続観測点のデータを用いて、2004年スマトラ-アンダマン地震後の余効変動を追跡した.その結果、2008年5月までの3年半の間に、Mw9の地震に相当する大きな余効変動を確認した.この余効変動の成因を探るため、余効すべりモデルと有限要素法を用いた粘弾性緩和モデルとを試した.粘弾性緩和モデルでは、半年以降のデータしか説明できないが、余効すべりモデルは地震直後の半年間も含めて説明することができ、少なくとも地震直後の半年間は、余効すべりによる変動が卓越していたと考えられる.
