Research Abstract

ネパールの予想される直下型地震に関わる防災検討を行い、次の成果を得た。住民の地震防災意識アンケート調査により甚大な被害が予想される古い町並みに住む人々の防災意識が乏しく、被害の増加に繋がることが確認された。カトマンズ盆地の電子地盤データベースを構築し、動的解析の基礎資料を得た。世界文化遺産であるチャングナラヤニ寺院の立つ丘陵地の地すべり調査の結果、寺院の敷地近くまで崩壊前線が迫っていることが明らかになった。カトマンズ盆地の5箇所に加速時計を設置し、地震動観測データが収録されつつあり、また、カトマンズに繋がる主要国道の地震時の地すべり危険箇所を明らかにした。地すべり危険箇所については3000km^2に渡るエリアについてGISデータベースとして整理している。
