| Research Abstract |
ネパールの山村(K村)と都市近郊(B地区)で生活習慣病とその発症要因に関する20年後の総合的な調査を実施した。生活環境・様式がK村はわずかに、B地区は大きく変化していた。K村の場合、肥満者、高血圧者、糖尿病がわずかながら認められ始め、血中脂質の改善も認められた。B地区も日本に比べ著しく少ないが生活習慣病が認められた。これらの変化は20年間の食生活の変化や身体活動量の減少などに基づくと考えられた。
