Research Abstract |
バングラデシュで成人下痢症より検出された非定型的ヒトロタウイルスB219株の全遺伝子配列を決定し、遺伝子解析を行った結果、B219株は従来から知られるA群、B群、C群ロタウイルスとは遺伝学的に異なる新種(群)に属することが判明した。アジアでの成人・小児由来ロタウイルスの疫学調査では新種ロタウイルスは検出されず浸淫度は低いと考えられたが、A群ロタウイルスは小児と成人の間で感染・伝播していることが示唆された。
