Research Abstract

本研究では、複数の画像間で共通部分を探す対付けと呼ばれる処理について研究を行った。対応付けを実現することにより、シーン内のどこに探している物体があるかを見出す物体認識や、三角測量に基づく距離計測等を、画像により行うことができる。対応付けの手段として、画像から多数の部分画像を切り出し、その部分画像から特徴を抽出する、局所不変特徴量という手段を用いた。研究結果として、(1)画像の輝度変化を表すエッジを密にサンプリングする部分画像の切り出し方法、(2)部分画像の切り出しやその特徴の計算を高速化するアルゴリズムと実装方法、(3)局所特徴量の対応付け結果から、複数の認識対象の位置を計算するアルゴリズム、これらに関し成果を得た。
