| Research Abstract |
本課題研究の成果は、1885 年の文部省初等教育施策の推移を明らかにし、小学校新教科としての理科の誕生と当時における科学教育の変遷の背景を解明したことである。この年の文部省施策の推移には、これまで未解明な箇所が多く存在していたけれども、今回の研究によって、小学校構成の構想や教則の推移及び科学教育の思想的背景など、理科新設につながる重要な諸施策の経緯を明らかにすることができた。
