Research Abstract

渡島半島地域と厚沢部町の住民を対象として、それぞれヒグマに対する意識と行動に関するアンケートとインタビュー調査を行った。その結果、北海道のヒグマ保護管理計画の問題点を指摘するとともに、住民の間にヒグマに関する予防対策を行う余地があることを明らかにした。また、ヒグマの出没や捕獲のデータの分析と現地調査、農林業政策の検証などを通して、厚沢部町固有の予防対策の必要性と可能性を見出した。
