Research Abstract	本研究では, インド密教の分野で未だ研究がほとんどなされていない, 実践者が入門後に課せられる実践 (carya) を取り扱っている. 研究に際しては,アバヤーカラグプタ著作『教説の穂』に見られる所説の解明を中心に行い, 関連文献を精査し,比較することによりアバヤーカラグプタに見られるcaryaの二面性の問題, そこから浮かび上がってくる, シヴァ教実践の仏教化の一つの過程をおぼろげながらも描き出した.
