Research Abstract |
The current study concerning character expression in the Kojiki and the Nihonsyoki aims at analyzing the process of its establishment for both chronicles through clarifying the original writing resources in the ancient Korean Peninsula and through exploring cultural influences by Chinese bibliographies and Buddhist scriptures. The following are the achievements of the study. 1. Studied and deciphered academic resources written by the scholars such as Kawamura Hidene, his son, Masune, and Goi Ransyu of the Edo period. 2. Deciphered newly-discovered resources of Paekche. 3. And studied detailed background information of the process of establishment for character expression in the Kojiki and the Nihonsyoki based on the analyses above.
