| Research Abstract |
役者絵研究は江戸に力点が置かれ、上方絵の体系的な調査・データベース化は立ち後れていた。本研究では、国内外の美術館・博物館所蔵の上方役者絵について、実地・図録類・ホームページ等で調査を行い、演劇の専門的知識を必要とする上演情報についても資料照合の上で考証してデータベース化した。実地調査の結果は各所蔵機関へ報告したが、当初約10,000件のデータが終了時には約24,000件となり、上方役者絵研究は世界的規模で大きく前進した。
