「グリム童話」は、世界各国の言葉に翻訳され、現在では聖書に次いで広く普及している。「その魅力の源を突き止め、グリム童話の普遍的核心を摘出すると同時に、愛読者界での誤解を正すこと」を本研究の目的とする。
