| Research Abstract |
現代イギリス英語において強勢変異を示す形容詞について、英語母語話者による発話録音の分析を行い、音声と統語処理のインターフェイスの観点から強勢衝突を避けるために話者が用いるストラテジーを明らかにし、話者による統語境界の解釈によって変異を許容する音声的実現が生じることを示した。これらの知見は、英語の強勢衝突に関するこれまでの文献の記述をより正確にし、英語の好韻律性に新たな視点を追加するものである。
