Research Abstract |
This research was started for the purpose of advancing genealogy. Particularly I took up the genealogical charts produced in Medieval Japan and investigated them as historical materials. First, I investigated the genealogical chart, named "Kokeizushu", that is owned by the Historiographical Institute at the University of Tokyo. I conclude it was produced by a noble in the 15th century and some records were lastly added in the 16th century. For further details, I present a paper published in the book about genealogy. Then I investigated the genealogical charts at the Akita Prefecture in the Tohoku District. I principally visited the Akita Archives and found a lot of important historical 'documents. For example, there are some genealogical charts of Onodera Clan who had influence over the Senboku Area. But we have not enough analyzed them to use as historical materials. I made an interim report of Onodera Clan and Senboku Area in Medieval Japan at the Medieval Historical Society of Tohoku. The others are also important things as historical materials. I have another plan for research in prospect.
