| Research Abstract |
20世紀初頭のイギリスで開催ブームが起こったパジェントとよばれる野外歴史劇は、地元住民の手によって地元の歴史を劇形式で演じるという地域イヴェントであった。本研究は、この地域イヴェントをとおして当時のイギリスの地方都市の社会構造やその特性が様々にみてとれること、さらに運営面でも内容面でも地元主体のイヴェントでありながら、本国社会と海外帝国というグローバルなレベルの関係が様々な形で取り結ばれ、表現されていたことを解明した
