| Research Abstract |
地球周辺の宇宙空間(磁気圏)で発生する磁気嵐やサブストームは、太陽からの磁化プラズマ(太陽風)に伴うエネルギーの変動によってコントロールされている。我々は、極域から中低緯度の電離圏を経由して、磁気圏内部へ続く電磁エネルギーの伝搬経路が存在することを提案し、データで検証した。また、磁気圏内部で発生する遮蔽電場が電磁エネルギーの流入を阻害することにより、サブストームや磁気嵐の盛衰に大きな影響を与えることを明らかにした。
