| Research Abstract |
本研究は, 石灰質ナンノ化石を構成する方解石の微細な結晶構造とその形態に着目して, 過去2億年にわたる石灰質ナンノプランクトンの進化・変遷の過程を考察することをおもな目的としている. 特に, 石灰質ナンノ化石の中でもグループに相当するナノリスとヘテロココリスという2種類のうち, 特徴的な種や属を選定して検討し, それらを構成する結晶の光学的性質の違いを明確にする作業を進めている.
