Research Abstract

北西太平洋に生息する有殻動植物プランクトン、とくに浮遊性有孔虫と放散虫について群集の鉛直分布、微量元素分析、一部の種について遺伝子解析を行った。
対馬海峡から得られた浮遊性有孔虫について、これまで知られていなかった第四の系統を発見し、その空間分布と安定同位体比を初めて明らかにすることに成功した。
また各種の浮遊性有孔虫のMg/Caを測定し、北西太平洋における水温換算式を初めて提示した。
