Research Abstract

転がり接触面を有する機械要素の使用限界向上策として、転動面の塑性変形を許容する新たな転動面疲労設計手法を取りまとめた。設計手法の骨格として、世界で初めて次の3点を実証的に解明した。(1)転動面の塑性変形が安定化(飽和)する接触圧力、内部加工硬化と転動繰返し数の関係 (2)接触面端部の局所接触圧力と端部塑性変形進行の関係 (3)塑性変形が生じる転動面の転動疲労ピット寿命は初期の最大接触圧力発生位置ではなく、塑性変形後の形状に基く接触圧力によって決まる。
