| Research Abstract |
ウイルスの吸着・侵入過程で中心的な役割を担う宿主ウイルス受容体(糖鎖)分子の生体内分布、生合成機構、ウイルス-糖鎖間相互作用を包括的に解明し、受容体糖鎖機能の発現制御およびウイルス感染に対する宿主感受性、ウイルス指向性の分子機構を明らかにした。以上、ウイルス感染における宿主側因子である糖鎖の機能発現制御機構の解明に貢献するとともに、従来とは異なる作用機序を有する抗ウイルス薬を創出するための新たな基盤技術を構築した。
