Research Abstract

イネ科植物の分げつ数は、分げつ芽の形成とその伸長の2段階で制御されており、その分子的メカニズムの解明は多収性育種に大きく寄与するものと期待されている。本研究では、ABC タンパク質OsABCG5(Rcn1)が分げつ芽の伸長に必須であることを分子遺伝学的に証明した。また、Rcn1 とRcn4 が腋芽伸長抑制植物ホルモンのストリゴラクトンとは独立の経路で機能することを遺伝学的に証明した。
