| Research Abstract |
近年温暖化で顕在化している水稲の高温登熟障害の症状の一つである玄米充実不足に関して、高夜温が胚乳細胞の成長を阻害するメカニズムを水分生理・糖代謝の観点から解析した。その結果、高温時間帯の糖供給不足や細胞壁の弛緩阻害が関与していることが強く示唆され、従来の呼吸昂進説と異なるメカニズムが提起された。また、プレッシャープローブ法による水稲の胚乳細胞の膨圧測定は世界で初めての試みであり、胚乳内の膨圧の基礎情報が得られた。
