| Research Abstract |
衰退が進行した森林の自然再生を目的として、奈良県大台ヶ原東部において風媒花樹木トウヒの局所的個体数密度と種子生産との関係ならびにトウヒ稚樹の更新適地を明らかにした. トウヒ母樹から球果を採取し、球果ごとに充実種子としいなの割合、発芽率、生残率、実生高を測定した. 母樹の局所的個体数密度と、充実種子率との間には正の相関が、シイナ率との間には負の相関がみられた. 母樹の個体数密度が低いほどシイナ率が高く、個体数密度の低いと自家受粉由来の種子が多かった.
