Research Abstract

ブナ結実の豊作年には、窒素化合物が種子に優先的に分配されるために花芽分化が阻害され、その翌年は凶作になることがわかった。また、結実の周期は、窒素と非構造性炭水化物資源の体内貯蔵量に関係していた。豊作の指標として、枝に貯蔵される窒素量と根に貯蔵される非構造性炭水化物量の変化が利用できることが示唆された。
