| Research Abstract |
石油資源に依存せず天然物を原料とした高性能接着剤の開発を行った。ここでは天然多糖類のキトサンを主原料に用いて検討を進めた。まず、石油資源由来の化学薬品を一切使用せずに還元糖やタンニン酸といった天然物との組み合わせによってキトサンの性能が容易に改善することを見出した。この結果をもとに接着性能を検討したところ、常態接着強度、耐水性、耐希酸性の向上に有効であることを検証し、既存の合成系接着剤と比べても同等の接着性能であることを確認した。
