Research Abstract

分泌型IgA の低下に代表される粘膜免疫機能の低下が、高齢者における易感染性の一因と考えられている。抗原特異的分泌型IgA 抗体産生に対する補中益気湯の作用について検討を行った。その結果、補中益気湯エキスは本IgA 抗体の産生を増強する作用を有することが明かとなった。分泌型IgA 抗体は、粘膜における最も重要な防御因子の一つであることから、分泌型IgA 産生促進作用が補中益気湯の臨床における薬効に関与する可能性を示唆した。さらに、その機序として補中益気湯エキスの腸上皮細胞およびパイエル板細胞に対する調節作用が関与する可能性を示唆した。
