Research Abstract |
The rodents, such as genetically modified model and damaged model, are used for basic research. Alomont of them are mice or guienea pigs. As it is hard to measure their eye movement, it may be useful to measure their head use them for research of vestibular function as a VCR. The VCR is a reflex to stabilize head position in space during motion of the body. The VCR is subserved by relatively direct and short latency pathways linking vestibular nerve activity to the cervical motor neurons. We used CB6F1 mice (20-30g) and Hurtly guienea pigs (about 300g). We made restrain for mice and guienea pigs. It was hard to just fit for body fix and head free. And movement of restrain make as a stimulation. It was verfied camera angle from file data volume and error. We discussed image analysis after transfer to computer from camera. We made damaged model animal by use kanamycin and etaclinic acid, it is ototoxic drugs. And we discussed vestibular damage from their behaibior.
